step 3. COLLECTING DATA AND REPORTING FINDING/ RESEARCHING AND SEEKING INFORMATION

Interview Mr. Ekhsan Nullhakim in his house on Sunday 16 Feb 2020. Overall,we were discuss about:
  • Pertamina from hulu to hilir
  • Energy (renewable and non renewable)
  • Problems in Pertamina such as corruption and low price of gasoline
  • Search and discuss about other country that produce oil and gas
Visit Pertamina head office and interview our primary resources. Mr. Hendry as Sr. Analyst Inv. Planning & Review and Landra bakri Hasibuan as Analyst Strategic Planning II on Thursday 20 Feb 2020.

There are something new that we found:
  • Pertamina also produce petrochemical. Used for paraxylene, benzene, propylene, polypropylene, parafinic wax, sulphur, parafinic oil material, asphalt
  • Elpiji gas also available in pink color. the different with blue are the size and safety valve, in pink tube has 2
  • Pertamina also work and collaborate with international airport in other country in order to full fill Garuda Indonesia oil and gas
  • Pertamina still search and find solution for gas and oil field in other country
Visit BUMN and interview Mr. Ferry Anrianto as Chief of Public Relation and protocol (kepala bagian Humas dan Protokol) on Monday 24 feb 2020.

Here are some information that we got:

step 4. EXPERIMENTING AND PLAYING WITH POSSIBILITIES/ SOLVING PROBLEMS IN A VARIETY OF WAYS

In this step, we made social experiment. Which is about questioner. Ask from random respondent about their understanding, level of community satisfaction and level of community knowledge.

We did online survey for 80 respondents and offline for 20 respondents. There will be 100% for all.
The location of 20% were in our school and local community. And for 80% online we spread by whats app and e.mail.

step 5. ESTABLISHING AND TESTING THEORIES

It is quite challenging for us to create the formula of our journey. By the time being we can solve the problem. From the article we find out our path.

Since we are in social strand but we must cover science learning outcome, we must do the first with scientific method. We did social experiment with science method. By think logically, consider new skills, techniques for effective learning we found the solution. Here are the major result:
  • 66 % respondent knows that Pertamina also has business sectors beside oil and gas
  • 96% respondent feel the positive impact from Pertamina
  • 97% respondent knows that BUMN has positive impact in society and support economic activity in Indonesia
  • 83% respondent feel the positive impact from Pertamina and BUMN in society
  • 83% respondent knows the role of BUMN in society
  • 86% respondent know that BUMN has impact and correlation with Pertamina

step 6. TAKING AND DEFENDING A POSITION

At the first time, we were plan to:
  • share and educate PYP students about Pertamina and renew energy and non-renew energy on 27 March 2020. We created board game that we can share and play during presentation.
  • another share is for MYP students about BUMN in drama production.
But unfortunately, because of covid-19 epidemic everything cancel. Start 16 April we did home based learning. Initially, we planed to conduct an action on 17 April 2020. Then we change into digital action which is digital sharing and educate through youtube.  And now our audience no longer pyp and myp students but more wider become the whole world. Everyone can access and see  our experiences and experiment during pyp exhibition. And we did home based learning. Including discuss with mentor, digital online and the last is zoom meeting as our panel presentation.

Our action category is social justice . By doing campaign and educate people through digital media about the role of BUMN toward economy activity.
Here is the link:

We showed profiles:
Risk taker by asking confidently questions and having discussions
Inquirer by finding out how oil and gas works
Thinker by thinking widely to gather information

After we did social justice action through digital way, we did reflection by writing into 6 thinking hats.

On Friday, 24 April 2020 we did zoom meeting together. We found some difficulties but we can solve it. Alhamdulillah.

On Sunday, 26 April we were done from editing and posting into  google drive. Here is the link:

Insya Allah, what we did can be new additional info and knowledge for those of you who read.
