1. Wondering, exploring and questioning
We are interested in finding out more about healthy diet really is and how its effect to our body system. We start to discuss and brainstorm ideas which related with the topic such as the healthy stages, recommended food, foods to avoid, and the impacts to our body. We know little about the healthy diet, that its not literally only eating healthy foods, but also learn more to count calories based on the foods' nutrition.
We discussed and recognized the healthy and unhealthy foods. A Varied diet that concentrates on fruit, vegetables, wholegrain, legumes, diary foods and lean meats can meet the basic requirement for our body. So we are wondering and have a lot of questions such as,
1. What will happen if someone doesn't covered the nutrition for their bodies? 2. What will happen if someone eat to much calories? 3. What are the impacts to our body if we do/don't eat the required amounts of nutrients and fluids? 4. What are the good carbohydrates for our body? 5. What should we do to make a balance life? 6. How do we manage our meals? |

We discussed the impact of dietary habit to our bodies. We developed our understanding how to manage our weight and control risk factors for obesity. We recognized the diseases caused of Obesity and start to explore the factors, the risk and how to have healthy-eating plan that recommended for our body.

We interviewed Dr. Carolina Fetri Kaharuba, SpA to seek more information about obesity.
She told us some recommendations how to maintain the weight and cure the overweight or obesity.
1. Motivate the overweight or obesity children. This is the very first step that parents can do. The children have to be motivated to be consistent for loosing their weight. The parents also need to change their bad habits that can influence them not to eat what they want but they have to eat what they need for their body. Remember that the parents cannot force their children to do the diet.
2. Give the balanced diet based on requirement daily allowances (RDA) For the overweight of obesity children, they should follow the eating schedule below;
She told us some recommendations how to maintain the weight and cure the overweight or obesity.

The parents and the children can modify the eating planner by following the green, yellow and read food choices. They can eat the green food every day because it contains high vitamin, mineral and fibre but less sugar, salt, fat and energy. They can only eat the yellow food just a little bit and not for daily meals because it contains medium vitamin, mineral, fibre, sugar, salt, fat and energy. The red food can only be consumed once a week because it contains low vitamin, mineral and fiber but high sugar, salt, fat and energy. For more details, please check the picture below;
3. Do exercise
They also need to do exercise twice a week because it can decrease their appetite. Doing regular aerobic or exercise can effectively reduce the weight rather than only doing the diet. It should be balanced in doing the diet and exercise.

3. Experimenting and playing with possibilities
We prepared for our experiment.
We start with brainstorm Ideas before doing our experiment. We will proof that if we have eating healthy plan, we gonna have ideal weight. So we start in reviewing the result from our survey in Al-Jabr Community. Based on the data survey, some student identified having under wight, normal weight, over weight and even closer to the Obesity. From this result, we also reflect on our habit that most of the children in 2018 love to eat fast food, snacking unhealthy food, and less physical activity such as playing with friend outdoor, routine exercise, and eat too much. So we decided to plan and carry out systematic ideas by investigating and observing our experiment about having eating healthy plan can help them control their appetite.

Based on they survey we know that some of the students in Al-jabr identified having over weight. We calculate the data using BMI (Body Mass Index)'s rule.

HYPOTHESIS/ Purpose
1. Maybe they eat too much, so the calories needed isn't balance with the calories eaten.
2. They eat not in the right time. Like they eat while watch a movie so they are not aware that they eat to much

PROCEDURE
First, we make an eating healthy plan. Based on our data that we need to eat 5 times a day. (3 times for the main course and 2 time for snacking). The Eating healthy plan is for children whose still need nutrition for their growth and they eat based on the calories needed for their body.
The second step is find a volunteer to do our experiment. Because we have an adult volunteer, so they follow our eating healthy plan, but for dinner, they prefer to choose eating fruit because if they eat dinner which has so many calories, make them failed to loss their weight. This case is different with children. Children need more calories that help them to grow up.
We also use measurement tools (weight scale) to know the changes of their wight.
We try to make affordable eating healthy plan. They can eat healthy food but not really that expensive and the materials are easy to find. We conduct our experiment.

We have 2 Volunteers

From our experiment, we conclude that losing weight is challenging. So better we care about our health by having healthy life style since we were young. The result of our experiment is failed, so we can't proof that having eating healthy plan can make our weight stable .

4. Making connection between previous and current learning
We wonder what makes her gain wight in the third and fourth week of our experiment. We agree to find it out the answer by giving questionnaire to some of people who had succeed do diet.
The Question are:
From their answer, we know the important things in having healthy life style are:
1. We have to know the calories for our body based on the stage (Age). As we know, calories each person is different with the other. They all have different kind of eating healthy plan, so we conclude that each person also have different eating healthy plan. As long as we consistent with our plan, we will get our goals.
2. we need to be principled in doing the eating plan.
3. Timing for having ideal weight is quite long, so we need more patient to do the healthy diet.
4. We need to do exercise.
So we refer back to our eating healthy plan, Based on our understanding even though our experiment is failed, our eating healthy plan can be represented as the affordable healthy diet if we truly do the diet and consistently having routines exercise. Might be doing the healthy diet take longer and it is very challenging, so we hope that children around us can aware of the food that they eat.

5. Clarifying existing data and reappraising perception
Last but not least, we compare Ms. Icha's healthy diet. The dietary menu based on her own eating healthy plan.

1. Breakfast: Fresh tea, without any sugar and Wheat bread
2. Snack: Fruit
3. Lunch in the school without carbohydrate.
4. Snack: Juice
5. Dinner: Fruit.
She doesn't do that much exercise and can loss her weight 3 kg in 3 weeks. So, Based on this situation, We strongly agree that having eating healthy plan can help us to have an ideal weight. We also recognize that every person has different treatment in having dietary menu. Its based on the calories needed for their body.
