If you say a healthcare facility, most people think of a hospital or clinic—but even a brief look at the healthcare industry will show there’s a lot of options out there that might not be on the top-of-mind. As more people seek accurate, holistic and cost-effective care, the healthcare industry is opening new options and expanding its reach. Specialized clinics and outpatient centers have appeared to help ease the burden on hospitals, and more long-term care facilities are rising up to accommodate patients who need months or years of assisted healing.

We started the process by brainstorming and how to delve deeper into the issues of healthcare facilities by creating a mind mapping. Health care is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental  in human beings. Healthcare is delivered by health professionals (providers or practitioners) in allied health fields.

Take a look at healthcare definition and types in Indonesian regulation below:

There are 8 types of healthcare facilities based on the regulation no. 47 2016
1. Professional practice
2. Community health center
3. Clinic
4. Hospital
5. Drugstore
6. Blood banks
7. Medical laboratory and research
8. Optical

We made PMI chart about some healthcare facilities so that we could choose which healthcare facility was worth further discussion.

PMI

Based on the PMI we have made, we chose community health center or Puskesmas.

The reasons they chose Puskesmas (Community Health Center) were:
1. It could be reached by lower to middle class citizens
2. It's easy to register
3. Good facilities
4. Some Community Health Center operated 24 hours a day
Picture
Still... We are wondering:
1. What is the role of Community Health Center?
2. What are the problems found in
Community Health Center?
3. What is the role of Ministry of Health over
Community Health Center?
4. What are facilities in
Community Health Center?
5. Are people satisfied with
Community Health Center services?
6. Is there any
Community Health Center open for 24 hours?

Researching and Seeking Information
Our Visit to Ministry of Health
Picture
To deepen our understanding about healthcare facilities, we visited Ministry of Health. dr. Ria Purwati explained further information about healthcare facilities. She concerned more about Community Health Center as she used to be the head of Community Health Center in Jakarta. We showed our curiosity by asking more questions during our meeting.

3. Organization structure

From this spider web, we were interes

Our Visit to Puskesmas Pasar Minggu
Our knowledge about Community Health Center was improved when we visited Pasar Minggu Community Health Center. It's a primary Community Health Center. It operates 24 hours a day. It has complete facilities. There are many clinics from maternal and child health clinic to psychological clinic. This is that not many people know, Community Health Center also has psychological services.
We concluded the information we got in 6 thinking hats.

Experimenting and playing with possibilities
Our Social Experiment around Bango
We interviewed people around Bango to know whether they had awareness of going to Puskesmas when they're sick.
Picture
We make questionnaire because would like to know
1. Where people go when they are sick
2. Do people ever go to Puskesmas?
3. Which Puskesmas do people usually visit?
4. Are people satisfied with Puskesmas facilities?
5. Are people satisfied with Puskesmas services?
Picture
From this chart, we could say that most people we interviewed go to Puskesmas Pondok Labu when they are sick.
Picture
This chart told us that most people have ever gone to Puskesmas to get medication.
Picture
This bar graph informs us that people have already awareness of going to Puskesmas to get proper medication. But some people don't want to go to Puskesmas because they prefer buying medicines from a shop near their house.
Picture
People are satisfied with the facilities in Puskesmas.

Solving problems in a variety of ways

Our Action

Our action are:
1. We create an Instagram account @healthcare_group giving information about healthcare.
2. We went to Ragunan zoo to promote how to register online to avoid long queue. Then we have them posting the picture on their Instagram with 3 hashtags #ayokepuskesmas #pypexhibition2018 #aljabrislamicschool.
Picture
3. We create a video about how to register online before going to Puskesmas and post it on Youtube.
