1. Exploring, Wondering, Questioning

We explore the information about reading habit from books and articles, then we discuss the problems of children reading habit, specifically on 6 - 12 years old kids which a basic fundamental for them to love reading.
Based on students prior knowledge , most of reading habit problems are caused by ...
1. Economic reason
2. Parents less encourage their children to read, no role model to read so that less motivation
3. Use gadget for playing and entertainment (social media)
4.Boring book types (less pictures and words dominated for kids book)
5.Limited qualified books

2. Finding Out (Researching and Seeking information)

We gathered several articles to discuss.
surprisingly, we find out that Indonesian reading habit get rank 60 out of 61 counties.

3. Collecting the data

We went to SDN 14 Pondok Labu, SDN 11 Pondok Labu, and Perpustakaan nasional to deepen our understanding about Indonesian reading habit and government effort to improve our reading habit.

We spread questionnaire to students at SDN 14 Pondok labu, SDN 11 Pondok labu, and Al Jabr from grade 1 to grade 6 to find out about their reading habit and what kind of book which primary students like.

Visiting indonesian national library

In order to find out government program to improve citizen reading habit, we search the institution which responsible for improving reading habit and

Perpustakaan national (Perpusnas) is one of  the institution which responsible for improving our reading habit so We went to perpusnas. They open library everyday start from 08.00 - 16.00. They also provide perpustakaan keliling to encourage people to read more book.

4. Experimenting and playing with possibilities

After gathering and interpreting the data, we ran social experiment in Taman Petra & Taman Wijaya on March 24, 2018. We choose those place because it always crowded by many children especially on the weekend. For the experiment, they select books then  they put book in those gardens and see how people interest to read book. 

5. Action

The action was conducted at RPTRA Garden. We Shared how to use and access E-book and coached children creating their own story through www.makebeliefcomicx.com
