Tuning In
Our tuning in to the idea of rain forest ecosystem started by discussing what rain forest is. We let the students make
adjustment to the topic by giving them time to do web search and spend time watching and listening. As the discussion going on, the students began to express their concern about the rain forest’s problems.

Finding Out
In this step, the teachers taught the skills that the students need to conduct a research. The students also started to gather data and formulated questions that reliable with rain forest ecosystem in Indonesia such:
1. What kinds of resources will help?
2. Where do I find them?
3. How do I know it is authentic?

Sorting Out
The students reviewing a big question about the effect of deforestation. As part of the finding information from the expertise we went to Walhi, an NGO that has concern about environment issue and also The Ministry of Environment and Forestry.
